Russia, Indonesia Step Up Military Cooperation

Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Mikhail Galuzin told a press conference on Wednesday in Jakarta that Russian firms’ participation in Indo Defence expo has proven such commitment.

Ambassador Galuzin said that Russia and Indonesia cooperate in a wide range of sectors, such as the economy, social, culture and the military. He stressed the importance of stepping up cooperation in the said sectors.

He said that Russian firms will exhibit modern arsenals at the Indo Defence 2016, namely fighter jets, warships, tanks as well as the latest Russian S-400 air defense system.

Russian government has also sent its navy destroyer Admiral Tributs-564, which has arrived on Monday at the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) II of the Tanjung Priok Port in North Jakarta.— Tempo
